A Little Library for Tallassee

Our branch in Tallassee just received a unique addition that will serve as a literary resource for the community. The City of Tallassee approached businesses in the community and asked for interest in joining a city-wide initiative to add Little Free Libraries throughout the community. The Little Free Library initiative is a national program that allows local communities to provide accessible reading materials, at no cost to members of the community.

Tallassee Branch Manager Amanda Hurley shared, “When the City of Tallassee approached us and others in our community about providing a Little Free Library, I immediately knew this was something Guardian would want to be a part of. Our team got together and collected lots of books to stock our little library with. We really enjoy watching people of all ages come and take books. We feel like this is just one more small way we can serve our community.”

The Tallassee Little Free Library is placed right outside of our branch entrance and is stocked full of reading materials to inspire individuals and kids of all ages. If you are ever by our Tallassee branch, stop by our Little Library, grab a book, and tell our team members that the Guardian Little Free Library is adding a little more joy to the community!
