Maplesville, AL has a population of only about 700 people, so it might not come as a surprise to learn their food bank is currently only in its sixth month of operation. When they first started, they were open every Thursday, but have recently had to cut back to every other week due to high demand and limited supply.
Guardian’s mission is to serve our communities in full—when we were made aware of their needs, our Maplesville team jumped at the chance to get involved. Through a growing community partnership, churches and Guardian members have joined in to stock and organize the food bank, as well as distribute meals to those in need.
