Guardian is excited to have recently donated supplies to local camps and non-profit organizations in the River Region. The Boys and Girls Club, Camp Grandview and Camp Chandler will all be receiving donations of supplies that are vital to their programs. These camps provide a safe place for children in our communities to attend and gain important skills. Campers often show up without the necessary supplies, so these organizations are always looking for help supplementing those needed items.
The camp experience provides an opportunity for kids to unplug and experience a time of exploration in nature. Every child gets the chance to gain new friends, try new things, grow as an individual, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
The camps each received 500 hygiene bags and 500 school supply bags. These bags were packed at a recent Guardian-wide gathering, where over 200 Guardian team members worked together to sort and pack the bags for campers. The camps also received 20 specialty items that each camp had on their “wish list,” including sleeping bags and lanterns.
