Each year, Guardian’s 16 branches across Alabama look for opportunities to give our members a little something extra. This is one way the Guardian team can show their appreciation to members, but it is also one of the ways we like to give back during the holidays. If you stopped by our Greenville, Clanton, or Maplesville branches last week, you were likely offered a complimentary ham for the holidays.
It’s no secret that grocery prices are on the rise and these three branches wanted to contribute, in a small way, to members and their families as they gathered for the holidays. The hams were a hit, and our members got a little something extra for their holiday feasts.
Many other branches also participated in giving back this season. They provided members everything from gift baskets, toys, sweet treats, and gift cards. Our Clanton branch had the opportunity to pay for the gas bill of an elderly member to ensure that she would be warm during the unusual cold temperatures we have recently experienced. Team members at our Cobbs Ford branch in Prattville were able to lighten the financial burden for a member currently going through cancer treatments. Our Prattville Highway 14 location was able to provide Christmas gifts for a grandfather who is raising his four grandchildren. Our downtown Montgomery location was able to cover utility bills for 6 members that had fallen behind and donated 2 bikes for a local bike giveaway. Team members at our Tallassee branch covered the grocery bills of 5 people at a locally owned grocery store.
These are just a few examples of how each of our branches found special ways to give back this Christmas season. We are proud of our team members for living out the Guardian values daily and going above and beyond to serve our members and communities.
We hope that our members had a wonderful holiday season, and we look forward to another year of serving you!
