Our first responders and healthcare workers are an integral piece of patients getting the proper care they need. While they are taking care of patients, the YMCA of Greater Montgomery is taking care of their families.
Their gyms are closed and classes canceled for the time being, but they continued to provide Essential Childcare to children of first responders and healthcare workers. Our Eastdale team wanted to recognize YMCA employees and thank them for the work they continue to do during this time. They fed employees at the Bell Road YMCA breakfast and employees at the East Branch lunch. We admire everything they do and wanted to show them our appreciation.
The YMCA of Greater Montgomery has also recently created a new meal plan during the pandemic. In addition to the 500,000 meals they already serve each year, their new Brown Bag Bus is distributing an extra 9,000 meals per week to students in high-need areas.
We would like to extend a big thank you to the YMCA: you do so much for those around you on a normal day and continue to go above and beyond. We are happy and proud we are still here to serve with organizations like the Y.
